Have you ever thought about planting your own little garden? Whether in the garden or on the balcony - you don't need much and it 's really a lot of fun !

It 's really fascinating , especially for the little ones : a few seeds are carefully placed in the soil, watered a little, and after just a few days the first tender green tips appear. From this moment on, you can watch the plants grow almost every day . Over time, these tiny seeds develop into real plants that delight us with colorful flowers or edible vegetables .

Especially in the current times when vegetables are often bought in the supermarket instead of being grown in one's own garden , many children rarely have the opportunity to trace the origin of our food back to its source . That's why it is particularly exciting and thrilling to see how a "real plant" grows from a small seed.

In this article we show you a child-friendly sowing calendar for herbs, flowers and vegetables in April, so that the little ones can playfully develop their green thumb.

Flowers :

1. Sunflowers:

Sunflowers are not only impressively large, but also fascinating for children . They can plant the large seeds in the soil themselves and watch their sunflowers grow taller day by day and more and more bees stop by.

2. Marigolds:

Marigolds are bright yellow flowers whose seeds are sown in rows They can later be used for homemade bouquets .

Vegetables :
